The “i” in CHiSL represents not only highly interactive activities but also the interactive technology provided by Turning Technologies. Through response systems and mobile interactive smart boards Turning Technologies provides endless ways for students to engage in collaborative, interactive learning environments. They enable teachers to ask questions and gather feedback in real-time while providing valuable data for monitoring and measuring learning progress. The Examview assessment suite and the groundbreaking SAT/ACT prep program, Mission Possible, provided by College Options Foundation prepares students using 21st Century tools to perform well on standardized assessments.
Lesson and learning plans were developed, performance-based assessments were constructed, and objectives linked to standards under the guidance, direction, and assistance of the Worldwide Instructional Design System (WIDS).

Through a template from GenerationOn, a nationally recognized organization with the mission: To inspire, equip, and mobilize youth to take action that changes the world and themselves through service, students apply academic knowledge and critical thinking skills to plan and conduct service projects. They learn to develop a sense of community while cementing positive values and gaining an understanding of diverse cultures and communities.
Lessons, activities, physical training, and drills, help students learn to identify positive physical and mental habits and make changes to practices that negatively affect their well-being. Nutrition, sleep, exercise, life skills, careers, NASA studies, and competitions are just some of the subjects in and elements of the CHiSL curriculum that help students learn about their minds, bodies, and capabilities.
During the course of their lessons, leadership lab activities, Virtual Experience Immersive Learning Simulation® exercises, and opportunities to lead, students build leadership qualities, communication skills, and the ability to motivate themselves and others. Students learn about their preferred behaviors and how to interact with others enabling them to inspire, create productive teams, and lead with empathy.
